The Tesla Cybertruck , which Elon Musk presented at the end of November, is a polarizing vehicle in many ways. Both the exterior and the interior, as was clear during the presentation, of the new electric pickup are innovative and specially adapted for the American market. In previous articles we have given an overview of all the details and answered the 10 most important questions about the models. In this article we take a look at the interior of the pickup and provide information and details about the storage space.
General information about the interior
The interior of the Cybertruck is reminiscent of the Tesla Model 3 2024 mixed with the Tesla Mode S. The ambient lighting, which can be found throughout the car, is recognizable.
Just like the 2024 Model 3 , which we covered in more detail in this article, the Cybertruck does not have a head-up display or driver display above the steering wheel.
In general, the interior does not differ between the rear-wheel drive, the all-wheel drive version and the Cyberbeast version.
The Tesla Cybertruck is equipped with 15 speakers, 2 subwoofers and several amplifiers, so it offers a very good sound system.

The seats of the Tesla Cybertruck
The Tesla Cybertruck is equipped with seats that are extremely robust. This is of course important for a pick-up truck. The front seats are equipped with seat heating and seat ventilation, the rear seats with seat heating.
The infotainment system of the Tesla Cybertruck
At first glance, the infotainment system of the Tesla Cybertruck looks completely different from the one familiar from other Tesla models. However, the 18.5-inch touchscreen in the driver's area can ultimately be used to do the same things as other Teslas. However, Tesla has made significant visual changes to the design of the user interface for the Cybertruck. The UI of the Cybertruck looks more angular and metallic.

The center console
Elon Musk's original plan to install three seats in the driver's area had to be scrapped due to the vehicle's oversized overall dimensions. The Cybertruck is now only a 5-seater, but has a spacious center console. This has space for two wireless charging slots, as you would expect from Tesla, and two USB C slots that output 65 watts, providing enough power to charge a laptop or similar.

The two displays
With an 18.5-inch touchscreen in the driver and passenger areas, the touchscreen is the largest ever installed in a Tesla model.
The Tesla Cybertruck also has the 9.4-inch touchscreen in the rear that is familiar from the Tesla Model S, X and 3.
The steering of the Tesla Cybertruck
The Tesla Cybertruck has a completely newly designed steering system. This can be described as a mixture of the steering of the Model 3 and the yoke steering from the Model X and S.
In contrast to the yoke, the Cybertruck steering is continuous. But it is also not round, like the Tesla Model 3 2024 . What is the same, however, is that Tesla has removed the turn signal lever and the gear selector lever and the controls are on the steering wheel or on the display. Only the horn is a classic button, like the one you know from any other car.

loading area and frunk of the Tesla Cybertruck
The loading area
The rear of the Tesla Cybertruck has a capacity of 3,423 liters. As is typical for a pick-up, the rear can be opened continuously.
The cover
The loading area can be closed electrically with a cover from the inside or from the rear area. The cover can hold up to 300 kg and can therefore be climbed on without any problems.
If the cargo area cover is closed, the rear window is also covered and the rearview mirror is no longer needed. Instead, Tesla displays the image from the rear camera on the main display, as it does not have an electric rearview mirror. If the area is not covered, you can use the rearview mirror.
In the US American version, the loading area is equipped with a 120 V and a 240 V socket at the rear. In a possible European version, this would of course differ to EU standards.
The tailgate of the Tesla Cybertruck is not electrically powered. The Cybertruck's surface has a small sub-trunk, but a spare tire does not fit in it.

The Frunk
For a long time it was unclear whether the Tesla Cybertruck would even get a frunk due to the long windshield and short "hood". Now the Cybertruck has got one, but it is very large.
The frunk can be opened electrically from the inside and outside and has space for up to two carry-on suitcases or, of course, charging cables. Unlike the frunks of other Teslas, the frunk in the Cybertruck does not have a loading edge and is therefore also suitable for sitting, as the frunk flap opens wide.

Summary
The interior of the Tesla Cybertruck production model and the design are very reminiscent of other Tesla models, but still speak their own language. News and information such as the new steering wheel, the large rear window and the more angular design naturally stand out.
