At the end of November, Tesla's Cybertruck was finally presented and the first 10 vehicles were handed over to customers. We wrote about all the details of the Tesla Cybertruck in this article . In the following article, we summarize everything and answer the 10 most frequently asked questions and more.

1. When will the Tesla Cybertruck come to Germany?
Tesla has not announced a date when they plan to sell the Cybertruck in Germany and the EU.
This will not be a top priority for Tesla, as both the model itself and the dimensions as well as the design of the car are intended for the European market and Tesla is not expecting high sales figures here.
One might also wonder whether the Tesla Cybertruck will ever be sold in Europe.
There is currently no information on this, but the approval of the electric pick-up will not be easy and Tesla will have to make some adjustments under current regulations so that it can even be approved here.

2. How much does the Tesla Cybertruck cost?
The Cybertruck is sold in three versions in the USA, which are of course priced differently. The following list shows the current price converted into USD and € .
The US government also subsidizes electric cars, which mainly reduces the price of rear-wheel and all-wheel drive variants. These are highlighted in orange :
Rear-wheel drive: $60,990 (55,978€) After deductions: $49,890 Not available until 2025
All-wheel drive: $79,990 (73,417€) After deductions: $68,890
Cyberbeast: $99,990 (91,774€) After deductions: $96,390
3. Can I pre-order the Tesla Cybertruck?
The Tesla Cybertruck cannot currently be pre-ordered in Europe. On the Tesla website you can only view the specifications of the electric pickup and sign up for a newsletter to receive news.
Tesla is doing this because they probably don’t know if the Tesla Cybertruck will ever come to Europe.
In the US, the all-wheel drive variant and the Cyberbeast variant can be pre-ordered, both with delivery in 2024.
4. How many engines does the Tesla Cybertruck have?
Tesla's Cybertruck is available in three configuration lines. These are equipped with different numbers of engines, which provide the car with different performance. We have also listed the expected range here:
Rear-wheel drive: 1 motor on the rear axle. HP unknown, as it will not be available until 2025. 6.7 seconds 0-100 km h. 402 km range
-
All-wheel drive: 1 motor on the rear axle and one on the front axle. 600 hp. 4.3 seconds 0-100 km/h. 547 km range
Cyberbeast: 2 motors on the rear axle and one on the front axle. 845 hp. 2.7 seconds 0-100 km h. 515 km range

5. What can the Tesla Cybertruck tow?
The towing capacity also varies between models. The following is the trailer load permitted in the USA:
rear-wheel drive: 3,402 kg
all-wheel drive: 4,990 kg
Cyberbeast: 4,990 kg
6. What accessories are available for the Tesla Cybertruck?
When Tesla sells the car of any variant, it offers accessories that can be ordered and then installed upon delivery.
These come at an additional cost, but can bring enormous benefits depending on how you use the Tesla Cybertruck:
Long-range beam bracket: After installation, this is able to illuminate up to 480 meters in front of the car
-
Quick-assembly tent: The quick-assembly tent can be attached to the loading area of the Cybertruck itself, is set up and inflated in a short time and offers sleeping space for up to 2 people.
Spare tire: The spare tire can be attached to the loading area and installed when needed.
Range Extender: The range extender is integrated into the loading area and reduces the loading volume of the Tesla Cybertruck, but offers up to 755 km (!) more range.
Unfortunately, further details about the accessories and the price are not yet known at market launch.

7. What makes the Tesla Cybertruck so special?
The Tesla Cybertruck stands out for its angular design with a stainless steel exoskeleton that promises durability and resistance.
Its powerful, fully electric drive option enables impressive acceleration rates and ranges in the electric pick-up sector.
The versatility of the pick-up truck, combined with a generous loading area, appeals to users looking for robustness and commercial vehicle functions, or US Americans :).
Tesla's innovative thinking is also reflected in autonomous driving technology and advanced assistance systems.
8. What makes the Tesla Cybertruck better than other Teslas?
800 volt system: The 800 volt charging system means that the Tesla Cybertruck can be charged at a significantly higher speed, which is important with a 123 kWh battery.
48 volt electrical system: The 48 volt electrical system simplifies the on-board power supply and enables the following point:
Steer by wire: The steering wheel is not physically connected to the wheels. The steering signal is transmitted electronically. This allows different steering angles and enables the Tesla Cybertruck steering wheel to be turned by a maximum of 180° in any direction!
-
Rear-axle steering: Rear-axle steering is particularly important for a 5.68 m long Tesla Cybertruck, but rear-axle steering would also give smaller Tesla models a significantly smaller turning circle and make the car more mobile in traffic.
Bidirectional charging: Bidirectional charging is extremely important and has been neglected by Tesla so far. The Tesla Cybertruck now supports this with up to 11.5 kW. This means that you can use your Tesla Cybertruck to charge another electric car, for example, if necessary, or that the car can be integrated into the electrical circuit of your home and act as a power storage device.
230 volt socket: The 230 volt socket on the loading area is particularly important for an electric pick-up. But electric cars from other manufacturers also install classic sockets in their vehicles for customers.
9. Is the Tesla Cybertruck unrivaled in the US?
The Tesla Cybertruck's electric pick-up competition in the US includes models such as the Rivian R1T, the GMC Hummer EV and the Ford F 150 lightning.
The Rivian R1T and the F Series Fords are characterized by off-road capabilities, impressive range and innovative features.
The GMC Hummer EV, with its powerful performance and luxurious features, also enters this segment. These electric pickup trucks offer alternative options for consumers looking for sustainable, high-performance commercial vehicles.
Competition in this emerging market segment is becoming more intense as more manufacturers develop electric pickup trucks to meet the increasing interests and demands of consumers, especially in the US market.

10. Is the Tesla Cybertruck faster than a Porsche 911 2023 :)?
Yes, thanks to the impressive performance even when the Cybertruck pulls a Porsche 911 2023 on the trailer behind it :)
