Tesla Software Update 2024.20

Tesla has recently released a number of updates and now this weekend the 2024.20 update was released to employees. This Tesla software update expands the numerous features of the spring update with some significant improvements, which we will discuss in more detail in this article.

All European vehicles with matrix headlights will receive new functions with this update. With the new update, the headlights adapt to curves in the road to improve illumination. This is already the second major update for the matrix headlights. Update 2024.8 introduced the adaptive high beam functions, which enable longer use of the high beam by specifically switching off individual LEDs.

Tesla is also improving its arcade features with this update and introducing local leaderboards for Beach Buggy Racing 2 at Superchargers. Each Supercharger location will have its own leaderboard where drivers can compete against each other while charging. Tesla also announces special races for this Beach Buggy Racing 2 update.

Tesla owners can play using a controller, the touchscreen or the steering wheel of their vehicle. 

An updated Autopilot warning system, similar to that of the upcoming FSD V12.4 update from the US, is also included in 2024.20 and thus also for Europe. After five warnings, the use of Autopilot is suspended as before, but now Tesla deletes every seven days a warning if the driver does not receive a new one.
