The exterior of the Model Y Long Range RWD
The exterior of the Tesla Model Y Long Range RWD is, as is usual for Tesla, very minimalist and visually identical to the standard range. The white front is only broken up by the LED headlights and the suggested air intakes, which are decorated with a panel. As is usual with Tesla, the Model Y has a very rounded appearance in order to offer the lowest possible drag coefficient and thus increase the range. The sides have been accentuated in black since the chrome delete in the last facelift. This applies in particular to the door handles and the door frames.
The rear of the Model Y in the Long Range RWD variant has a small spoiler and is also decorated with LED taillight elements. The chrome Tesla logo, which was not blackened by the facelift, still stands out at the rear.

The Tesla Model Y Long Range RWD comes with the same battery as the Model Y Long Range AWD. This has a capacity of 79 kWh and is of course more efficient than the AWD version because it only has one motor.

The more efficient driving style of the Model Y Long Range RWD compared to the AWD variant naturally results in the best range you can get in a Model Y.
With the 19-inch Gemini rims, which are included in the delivery, the Model Y rear-wheel drive manages 600 km according to WLTP.
With the 20 inch rims for an additional charge of €2,200, it is still 565 km according to WLTP.

Price
In terms of price, the new variant should clearly be the winner in terms of price-performance ratio. The Long Range rear-wheel drive variant is available for €48,990 . That's an additional charge of €4,000 over the standard range. But the Long Range AWD is still €6,000 short of "just" better acceleration.
This means that the new model is by far the most sensible for most people, especially due to its very good range and the comparatively low additional cost.
