The new Tesla Model 3 is coming onto the market with an adjusted price. Compared to its predecessor, the Tesla Model 3 2024 rear-wheel drive has become €1,000 more expensive. But there is a simple reason for this. Tesla will initially meet the high demand with the new price and as soon as demand decreases, the price will be adjusted.

This strategy has been used in the past with the Tesla Model S/X and also with the Tesla Model Y and is standard practice in the market. It is difficult to say how long it will take for Tesla to lower the price here, but it will probably not be in 2023.

One open question remains when Tesla will launch a performance variant and whether there will be a cheaper version that does not include many of the extras in the rear-wheel drive version.
