A new software update from Tesla is causing problems for some Tesla drivers. After installing version 2024.38.4+, users are reporting error messages in the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) or with the BLE sensors . Model 3 and Model Y seem to be particularly affected, with the error code "VCSEC_a222" among other things.
The error messages affect all types of BLE sensors, both from aftermarket manufacturers and the original Tesla sensors.

Update from November 21, 2024
Tesla is giving everyone waiting a break with the update 2024.44.x. In the TFF forum, all users who are on this software version report that the sensors are working perfectly. However, this does not mean that an update of the sensors will not be necessary in the future.
Update from November 20, 2024
Tesla will probably not adjust the reporting interval back on the software side.
At the same time, the sensor manufacturers have now completed the tests and have already successfully implemented a solution to the problem :
To do this, the sensors must be loaded with new software. Two options are being tested for this.
a) The sensors are updated with new software in a workshop (removal of the sensors is not necessary)
b) An app is currently being developed that will allow users to adapt the sensor's software themselves. This option is the preferred option by everyone involved and should be available in the next few weeks. If you would like to be informed as soon as the app is available, we will be happy to inform you via our newsletter (free registration at the bottom of the website).
Update from 18.11.24.
The sensor manufacturers are in direct contact with Tesla in working groups and are addressing the issue. These attempts at solutions are currently in progress
Tesla adjusts everything again without intervention
The BLE sensor must be reprogrammed without removal to comply with Tesla's reporting interval.
Despite the error message, the tire pressure sensors continue to report the correct tire pressure to the Tesla system. However, Tesla has increased the reporting interval. This means that the sensors have to report the pressure more often. If they don't do this, the error message appears.
A solution is being worked on intensively
Wait with the update To avoid possible complications, we strongly recommend that you do not perform the 2024.38.4 software update for now. Please wait until Tesla fixes the issues or provides further information.

What does this mean for you as a Tesla driver?
keep Calm There is no need to panic. Removing or replacing the sensors will not solve the problem because the cause lies in the software.
Do not install any further updates Until the bugs are fixed, we advise against updating to newer software versions.

@Ronny
